My coolest cousin ever, who is staying in Japan, just sent me the most beautiful yukata. It came with a matching purse and fan, and shoes. It’s absolutely the coolest thing on the face of the planet! A yukata is a Japanese summer garment often worn for festivals and events. It is worn with an obi, or belt, and thonged sandals, or geta.

I am going to practice tying the obi and then take pictures of me wearing it when I get it all together. How excited am I!
