crafting over the holidays

This weave scarf I made for my mom. It required six tube-like strands knitted in the round that were weaved together. I was working on this even on Christmas Eve to finish it.

With all the red I was wearing, I felt it was just wrong that I wasn’t sporting a beautiful red scarf. So I whipped one up using eyelash, microspun and a mohair-like yarn to create a multidimensional red piece.

say hello to my chicken

I found this precious little candy dish at Goodwill last week when I dropped off a bunch of stuff of my own. It’s from Ikea and still cute as can be. If you put round chocolate pieces inside, it’s like it’s laying eggs!

o christmas tree

Every year, my step family gets together for the day after Christmas. I made this cake by using a stencil to strategically place green sugar crystal sprinkles. It turned out pretty well and got rave reviews.

swimming in wrapping paper, and other joyous activities

The holiday was a joyous occasion for all. The tree (up since Thanksgiving) has held up but seriously needs to be taken down.

I got several fun gifts including this iPod docking stereo system and fun stemmed martini glasses.

Even the boys got involved in the festivities.

All in all, it was pretty exciting and fun-filled day. Merry Christmas!
