In my quest for all time anything lists, I came across the American Film Institutes’s Top 100 Years, Top 100 Songs—a century’s worth of classic songs ingrained in American history. Looking over the list, I discover that I have quite a number of them.
Before I left for Vegas, I created this great tea towel for a friend of mine. I haven’t seen her yet to give it to her, but I’m very excited as she loves margaritas. It’s a bit wrinkled, so I should iron it before I give it to her. I’m planning on making a set of martini tea towels for myself. After seeing this, my mom wants me to embroider something for her.
This past week I played with some of my camera settings and created this picture. I took it at a bar so the colored lights really stand out.
I celebrated with my bestest friend for her birthday this weekend at Dave & Buster’s—a gaming institution. It was a lot of fun and great to see the old bird turn 25. Happy Birthday!
I am flying home tonight and can’t wait to return to Chicago. It’s been fun learning all about a different city and place, but after a week, it’s good to go home and be around familiar surroundings. As I board the plane, I’ll be humming the notes of “Sweet Home Chicago.”
