This morning I helped my friend from work pack up her apartment. Who knew two hours of running up and down stairs would be so aerobic but let me tell you, I’ll help anyone move instead of my normal workout. At least there’s people to talk to. It didn’t take as long as I thought and I had plenty of time to run some errands (Target for a cousin’s birthday gift, Babies R’ Us for another project I’m making for a cousin, Hobby Lobby for general crafting needs). Then back home for phase two of the day.

I have had this dresser my whole life and it has had many a facelift. The latest look is a coat of purple paint and an array of decoupaged magazine clippings. After a coat of polyurethane, I put on a coat of glitter paint for some shimmer. On top, I placed kitchen tile, grouted it and trimmed the end with quarter-round.

I’m continuing to “upgrade” the tunes by luka database by fleshing out certain letters that have been neglected. Here’s what I came up for the letter “v”. If you have any great “v” artists, pass them my way.

I saw this little number at TJ Maxx and I couldn’t get it out of my mind. The brown/purple leather Tahari fitted jacket had my name on it. With the coaxing and convincing of my entire Stitch’N Bitch group, work buddies and no objections from mom, I ran back out and snatched it up before it disappeared forever. This was the last one in my size. Yay for fashion!
