i had high hopes for today’s post
Unfortunately I ran out of time today. A co-worker bought a house today! Wooo! So in celebration, we ran downstairs for a much-needed beverage. Well, I had water, but that’s because the piggy bank is hungry and I have little to feed it. Must abstain for a few days. So we’re downstairs and there’s free pizza during happy hour, so I help myself. Cool. Dinner is free. But now my whole plan for the evening is thrown. I had planned to do my weekly Tae Bo Tuesday, eat dinner and quickly resume knitting my No Sweat Socks from No Sheep For You. With the delay in my departure and the fact that I have now eaten dinner, working out was, well, out. I merely went home and knitted. That was, however, a really productive idea as I finished the first sock tonight. That’s right kids! I knitted that darned thing in two days. How rock star is that? On to the second sock, which I have already casted on.
My act was simple today. I went to paperless statements. I have, for a long time, done almost all of my banking online. Mainly because I’m sometimes absentminded and don’t have time for snail mail, I’m running low on checks and don’t want to buy new ones and it’s the quickest thing since a garlic press. But I’d held onto those paper statements. Maybe it was the paranoid nitwit in me or the tactile fulfillment of having some permanent record to file away, but I didn’t want to let go. Today, however, I let it all go. Most institutions now have long-term histories they can provide with a quick download or by mail if unavailable online. So that put my worrying mind at ease.
