my motorola razr makes my world go round

It could be intoxication from the “new cell phone” fumes or the exhilaration of opening a brand. new. box. But I couldn’t be more excited about my new pink motorola razr. I found it on eBay Express in my effort to find a phone that doesn’t drop every call I have. So we’ll see. My reception definitely seems to be better than before but I’m going to have to investigate further.

several errands, just one bag

I had several errands to run today. A few fabric stores for a project, Target for a bridal shower gift and Trader Joe’s for some odds and ends. It turned out I didn’t find anything at the fabric stores and I only got the bridal shower gift and a mug for a friend’s graduation gift from Target. Once I got in line and the cashier started bagging my items, I remember about the reusable Whole Foods bags in my trunk. Shoot! I should’ve brought it in. But I tried my hardest in a pinch to reduce by asking that only the mug was bagged (the other gift was boxy and clunky and I probably would’ve dropped the mug). So two plastic bags down to one. I’ll count that a half reduce point.

eco-wishlist

Sustainability is everywhere. Last year alone a plethora of large consumer magazines came out with “green” issues—May 2007 Vanity Fair, Issue 27 Ready Made, May 2007 Elle and March 2007 Domino magazine, to name a few. Trade publications are hammering the idea into their respective readers; I should know from my concrete editorial job. Movies such as An Inconvenient Truth have shocked the public back to reality and living a more healthy, eco-friendly world has become even more important.
