two more down, 50 more to go

The Graduate and On the Waterfront, two AFI 100 movies down and so many to go. However, I am proud to announce that the top 10 of the AFI 100 is now complete. Let the masses rejoice! I definitely liked The Graduate (with Dustin Hoffman and Anne Bancroft) better than On the Waterfront (with Marlon Brando). Although I did enjoy seeing a young Marlon Brando. Both I’ve seen so many scenes from it isn’t even funny. Basically half of each movie! Two great epics and I’m glad to say two more notches. Hip hip hooray!

i was thwarted

I ran over to the local grocery store, reusable bag in hand and I thought I was doing well. I had a small basket full of items (only needed one produce bag—I forget to bring my reusable stash with me) and I headed to the checkout. I asked the nice young man at the bagging station, “Can you put everything in this?” “Sure,” he responds. I’m smiling and I’m happy. I’ve done a small good green thing. I saunter out pretty proud of myself

memorial day monday

One Queen of Cups socks is complete and it isn’t even noon yet. I’m knitting these up with Socks That Rock in Azurite, which I am thoroughly enjoying. What a nice yarn! Here’s to more crafting today on this wonderful Memorial Day. Yay!
