hey there, mister conductor

I took the train into the Chicago today for Worldwide Knit In Public Day (no I’m not kidding). There were seven us from all over the Chicagoland area, so we really cut down our emissions by joining other Chicagoans riding the train for a variety of fun city events.

wwkip, and other things

That’s right kids. Worldwide Knit In Public Day was a success! Here’s us crafty b*tches hanging out in Millennium Park. (Merry Gentlemen, Le Petite Tricoteuse, Nittany’s Shenanigans, Knitting With Bookgirl, Lunar Llama and Nadia.) There were an estimated 60 knitters present at this event. We got a lot of walk-ups and questions from random passersby. Some nice; some kind of cranky. (You know who you were.) We all took the train in and had a nice walk to the park. It was hot but I’m proud to say that I sat in the sun today (with no burning to report either). We even got ice cream half way through the day (which was necessary; it was hot people!).
