Tonight was the first night in weeks that I was able to just sit down, relax and knit. Wow, it felt great. I continued to work on the Clessidra which is coming along nicely. I’ll try to get progress pictures up here soon. I also cast on the second 9 To 5 socks (really because the needles were poking me in my bag) so now I can switch between the two. The US #1s are really hurting my hands after long periods of knitting so switching up to the US #2s will be a helpful break.
This break also gave me a chance to finally watch Raging Bull (No. 4 on the AFI list) and the last I hadn’t seen in the top 10. No surprise here, but I didn’t really like the movie. Actually I can confidently say that I disliked it a lot. I’m not even sure there was anything technically wrong with the movie, I just didn’t like the plot. I will say that Robert DeNiro is one of the most amazing actors ever. He was able to portray this character with such passionate perfection it was unreal. I think that was my favorite part. However, I’m glad I’ve seen it and I can cross it off the list.
