knitting technique successes, wishes and denials

I came across this over at Coffee and Knitting Needles, a list of the knitting techniques you’ve tried, want to try and want to avoid. So here are my successes, wishes and denials.
I’ve done it, I want to do it, Very Little/No interest, I don’t know what it is so I can’t comment
- Afghan
- I-cord
- Garter stitch
- Knitting with metal wire
- Shawl
- Stockinette stitch
- Socks: top-down
- Socks: toe-up
