it’s a movie weekend

Guys and Dolls (1955)—Not on the AFI 100 or AFI 400, this movie is considered a musical classic to many. It’s been on my “to watch” list for some time. I really enjoyed the Marlon Brando/Jean Simmons romance the best. The dialog seemed forced though. No contractions were used throughout most of the movie and each time I noticed. Seems like a weird hang up but for some reason that stuck out to me. It also was kind of strange hearing Marlon Brando sing the now well-known Frank Sinatra Hit, “Luck Be A Lady.” Brando’s voice is obviously not as good as Sinatra’s.
