my ecp score is 293

According to Earth Lab, my Earth Conservation Plan Profile (ECP) score is 293. ECP scores can range from 150-900 (the lower being better). Six categories (home, energy, work, commute, travel and lifestyle) are used to base the score. The average score in the United States is 325. Looks like I’m better than average, but still could use some improvement.

My carbon output is 10.4 tons per year. This needs to be improved as well.

double the fun dishcloth pattern

Double the Fun Dishcloths

This is an adaptation of the Ballband Dishcloth pattern. It’s a double-sided dishcloth that measures approximately 4×4″. It’s really durable but fits the size of my hand. It acts more like a sponge, which I like. Here’s how you make it:

Materials:
Some kind of cotton (Lily Sugar n’ Cream works well); two colors is recommended but you can knit everything with one color if you like.

Size 6 or 7 needles
Crochet hook (F)

ballband omop cozy

I made another oMop Ballband Cozy. This time using the Ballband Dishcloth Reusable Swiffer Cover pattern as a guide. I had to knit it longer and wider then the directions because the oMop is bigger than your basic swiffer. It turned out really well though and I’m very pleased. I’m going to try it out tomorrow when I get home from work.

scrub-a-dub-dub

I made this Scrubber this weekend using the Tribble pattern. I’m very excited to give it a try, since I’m trying to avoid buying plastic scrubbers and sponges from now on. Next step is to find a pattern I like for a more suitable dishcloth/sponge alternative.
