I got this purse from TJ Maxx out shopping with mom on Black Friday. It was too perfect for the holidays to pass up. I’ve gotten so many compliments on it already!

afi: ben-hur

Ben-Hur (#100 on the AFI list) has been watched. It was pretty decent but really really long. Every time I see an intermission it makes me laugh because people watching the movie in the theater would’ve needed to get up to go to the bathroom; including myself! Applause, applause. It finished it in one night, with only a few potty breaks
Charles Heston was pretty decent. There were obvious undertones of the story of Jesus. Saw the classic “charriot scene” which was pretty decent considering it was filmed in 1959.
afi 100: king kong

Tonight’s viewing was the 1933 original classic King Kong. The black and white version was definitely interesting. I’ve never been too thrilled about the King Kong story line but it was interesting to watch this and the special effects, which were pretty amazing for the time. Not only was their kong, but a number of prehistoric animals: a t-rex, pterodactyl, loch ness monster type animal, oversized alligator and probably a few I missed.
