april fitness update

This month was my highest workout percentage so far! Yay! I’m still not up to three times a week, but I’m getting a lot better at meeting my goals. I also have the Lincoln Park Zoo 5k to look forward to. Here’s to a healthier May.

Summary: 7 out of 30 days, 23% of the month

bike contemplations

I’ve been thinking about Hot Pinkness—I know it’s tough not to. I’ve been thinking of the last few adjustments I want to make to her so she’s the ultimate in biking ecstacy.

I really want to remove the Dawes decals from her and found some suggestions regarding how to do that. Apparently, nail polish remover can do the trick. I’ll have to give it a try.

afi 100—12 angry men

Just watched 12 Angry Men (1957) last night. I was pleasantly surprised by this film. The movie, starring Henry Fonda, focuses strictly on the deliberations of a jury deciding the fate of a 18-year-old boy charged with murdering his father. In the beginning, all of the jurors except one are set in their convictions. Throughout the film, the jurors deliberate the case and discuss the facts, trying to work out the case to make the right decision.

stash knit down 2009: alhambra scarf

I finally finished the Alhambra Scarf for my friend Ruth. I’m giving it to her as a thank you for when I was sent to the emergency room in March. My mom was out of town that day and so she came with me instead. I feel bad that it took me so long to get this done but I think I did too much knitting when I was sick that I got a bit worn out of the whole thing.

featuring: hot pinkness

Hot Pinkness got her fenders put on last weekend, but I finally got around to taking some pictures today when I spent some time fixing the fenders. I love how pink she is. Now if only I can get a white bike seat (too bad they cost $70-$90).

Here’s the front fender. I think they turned out really well. Check the extra flower decal near the handlebars. I also have a headlight on the front for safety.
