I ran out for errands today and swung by Home Goods. Check out this really neat bowl I found, handmade in Portugal. I haven’t quite figured out what to put in it. I’m thinking something with bold colors. I can’t do floating candles because Ethan will drink the water.

I also came across this Calphalon 8-quart stock pot with lid on sale for $43. How perfect is this find considering I’ll be canning tomorrow and I really need a better stock pot.   [ Read more ]

Just look at them dancing! That’s right, it’s Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers in the infamous 1936 romance Swing Time. I don’t know why it took me so long to watch this movie considering that this movie is the epitome of the old classic I like.

The dancing was truly amazing—they just don’t dance like that anymore. I was reminded of Holiday Inn and White Christmas, as well as Christmas in Connecticut because Frank Jenks made an appearance. You can check out their first dance on YouTube.   [ Read more ]
