stash knit down 2009: mermaid gloves

Craftoholic’s infamous Mermaid Gloves were a challenge to make, especially for such an OCD knitter as myself. The person I made them for wanted them super long and to use up all the yarn. So I did 4.5 total pattern repeats before the thumb gusset. Since the pattern doesn’t specify what kind of thumb gusset was used, I followed the gusset directions of the Nereid Gloves at Sutherland Studios until I had 21 stitches for the thumb. I “absorbed” the yarn overs from the fourth horizontal pattern repeat to do this, thus pinching in the hand a bit for a snugger fit.

stash knit down 2009: seaside double the fun dishcloth set

I made another Double the Fun Dishcloth set as the holidays descent upon us. I’m planning to use a lot of for add-on gifts this year so I want a bunch under my belt.

I still have plenty of cotton leftover to make quite a few more. My goal is to knit up all of my cotton in my stash. There’s really no need to have it on hand unless I come up with some other type of project. Then I’ll just buy more for that particular project.

stash knit down 2009: mosey legwarmers

I finished the Mosey Legwarmers on time for my cousin’s birthday party. I had less than four days to knit these up. It was a bit intense few days because I wasn’t quite sure I’d make it but alas I wrapped them up and arrived only 20 minutes later. This is the front view.
