I got some yarn for my birthday this yarn, soooooo, my stash grew. But since I didn’t buy the yarn myself, it’s totally fine. But when I was adding said birthday yarn to my stash, I noticed something quite alarming. I was missing a bunch of laceweight. So I had to add that yarn in and my total yardage has been off all year long! I really have no idea of how to make this adjustment, other than adding my total yardage used to what I thought my starting yardage was and getting the grand total of 53,136.96! I’m not sure if that’s accurate since some yarn has been purchased in 2009, as well as gifts received, so I guess I’ll just keep knitting … just keep knitting.   [ Read more ]

I decorated my apartment for the holidays today and Ethan got into the spirit too. He decided that the tree skirt was really a blanket for him. I haven’t quite finished the decorating and present-wrapping process so I don’t have pictures of the apartment yet. That’ll come soon.

Ethan went out in his new sweater over Thanksgiving weekend. He looked so sporty and festive. And he kept warm.

I bought a Pyrex 18-piece storage set during the hectic Black Friday chaos. Carson Pirie Scott offered it for $30 with a $15 mail-in rebate. What a deal!

I zipped through Knit Two, by Kate Jacobs. The second in The Friday Night Knitting Club series, I enjoyed checking in with the characters I fell in love with. The sequel was well crafted, weaving in the main characters lives and the impact of the events from the first book and how they lingered on.
