Technically my catnip toys was my 52nd project, but that is neither challenging or glamorous. I also have no pictures of all of the toys because they were gifts and I didn’t get them altogether. So instead, for the grand finale of this Stash Knit Down Challenge: Mom’s Cable Hat (aka the Lina). I have completed my Stash Knit Down 2009 goal!

I intend to continue knitting for the remainder of the year, and hope to finish everything that I started in 2009 before the close of the year. That includes a pair of socks (I’m on the second sock), a cowl and some dishcloths. Then I’ll be working with a clean slate for 2010. Once the year comes to close, I’ll also post a review of all of this year’s projects. Although I’ve finished 52, there are still many knitting days left and some vacation time (hopefully) in my future for me to enjoy.

I am still giving my 2010 challenge some thought, trying to decide how to approach the new year with knitting. I am toying with another stash knit down effort, although far less aggressive than 2009, a challenge where I just target all of the one skeins I have in my stash, or addressing the WIPs I have on the needles. A hybrid of all three of these may be a possibility. I’ll come up with a plan before the new year.
