Who is lusciousluka?

I’m Kate Hamilton—a communications professional, social media strategist, journalist and project manager. Currently I’m an editor at a B2B publishing company. I write, edit, blog, tweet and create comprehensive content packages. Check out my professional portfolio.

In my spare time, I’m an enthusiastic karaoke singer, distance runner, proficient knitter, and amateur foodie and cook.

I also am the founder and social media strategist for @LoganSquarist—a Twitter account dedicated to spreading news, events and information about Chicago’s Logan Square neighborhood.

What I blog about?

craftyness. I spend a lot of time on crafts and such, and like to discuss my various progress on projects, including knitting and crochet. You also can find me on ravelry.

food. Increasingly my cooking hobby is becoming more important in my life. Occasionally, I feature my own recipes, complete with pictures.

running. Increasingly, running has become a key aspect of my life. In the past few years, I have completed a 5k, 10k, and recently a half marathon. I’m working my way up to a marathon in 2012.

music. I love music, and share that love with readers with tunes by luka.

movies. I watch a lot of movies, especially while knitting. As a challenge, I watched every movie on the American Film Institute’s Top 100 movies of all time list. Check out the complete afi 100 list, the afi 400 list and a selection of afi movie reviews.

daily life. I also fill my daily blogging with various other tidbits about my life in the big city, as a journalist and as an ever-evolving human being.
