I have spent the last few weeks working on converting an old printers typeset tray into a jewelry display. I had originally seen the idea on Etsy from Blue Bird Heaven who converts trays into beautiful displays of art. Unfortunately with money so tight, I wasn’t able to get one through the vendor.
Today I received a bouquet of flowers from M. He specifically picked out the winter bouquet, and was pretty impressed with himself on his choice. Apparently the other choices were no seasonally appropriate. I think he picked a good bunch!
Christmas 2010 was good to me. I got a lot of nice gifts and really useful items that I look forward to using in the coming year. Highlights include:
A long-awaited birthday wish was achieved today when I received a KitchenAid Professional Series Stand Mixer! I have wanted a stand mixer for a long time; ever since I can remember. My arm often tires using a hand mixer and so I’ve been lusting after an upgrade.
Unfortunately, such a pricey item hasn’t been in my budget—until my birthday. This year I had some pretty nice gifts in the form of wonderful cash. So instead of watching that money go to waste on little things, I decided a big purchase was in order, something that I wouldn’t normally get for myself.
